Outreach Program:

As a major part of our outreach program we provide the following services:

  • Daily Reassurance Calls - We make arrangements with individuals, families, or with local clergy to call our homebound participants 1-5 times per week, Monday through Friday, as determined by the needs and desires of the individual. These calls are established so as to give the participant comfort and peace of mind when receiving these calls.
  • Weekly In-Home Visits - We make arrangements with individuals, families, or local clergy for weekly visits of an hour each to provide our homebound participants a friendly face to go along with the voice they hear in the calls we make to them. These visits are also established in such a way will feel both comfortable and safe during the visit.
  • Transportation - We also can arrange to provide transportation to the Center for those who are homebound but still able to come to the Center and participate in the Center programs and activities. Sometimes being "homebound" is more of a frame of mind than a necessity.
We also provide transportation for such needs as doctor's appointments. The charge for transportation in our van is $5 for trips within Hendersonville and $8 for trips to Gallatin, Madison, or Goodlettsville. To arrange for a ride please call the Center at (615) 822-8758 and ask for Frank.

All programs listed above are set up and initially administered by our outreach coordinator, Bonnie Parker. If you are interested in discussing any of the programs above you may contact Bonnie by calling the Center at (615) 822-8758 Monday through Thursday.
